Founder: Relebohile Precious Thomas
RELE JOY is a family company, which was established in 2018, which we were inspired to set up when our daughter was born with Cerebral Palsy. With a CP, she is wheelchair bound for the rest of her life.
She uses a specified, special and custom made wheelchairs to suit her condition and body structure. These very expensive wheelchair over time wear out and fade colour.
These faded material are however accessible from the manufacture but are very expensive relative to the chair about 30% to 50% to a new chair, which leave the user with no choice but to use as it is.
Realising this challenge to the less fortunate but most desperate, we decided to establish RELE JOY sitting, which its main focus is to change and improve the lives of all individuals that sit and rely on the wheelchair on daily basis. We do this by refurbishing the existing wheelchairs at a very affordable cost and get our clients to love their chairs again.
We reupholster the cushions, change materials, replace and repair old worn out parts ordering from reliable suppliers. We have taken upholstery to the other level putting together steel work, woodwork and upholstery together to better deliver to our clients and their family members.
